Animal shelter to host pet adoption

The Ventura County Camarillo Animal Shelter, in partnership with Rescue Me Inc., will present the third annual DogGone CataStrophic Hugs, Slurps And Slobbers event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.Sun., July 15 at the Camarillo Shelter, 600 Aviation Drive.

Adopters will receive a free gift bag and vet visit for the new family member, onsite reduced rate microchip/ rabies vaccine, license and two free tickets to "The Diary of Anne Frank" with presentation of adoption papers at the Camarillo Community Theatre booth.

The event will feature a silent auction, vendors, raffle at the Rescue Me booth and music by Julie Chadwick, Joe Hamilton, David Stone and Lisa Turner.
