Along with the Camarillo Noontime Rotary Club, the Breakfast Rotary Club will cosponsor the Technicolor Video Services 15th annual Care for Kids Golf Classic at Spanish Hills Country Club on July 23. The two clubs expect to raise $100,000 for Casa Pacifica and other local children's charities. Since 1985, Rotary International has made it their mission to eradicate polio. Today, the PolioPlus program contributes to "a 99 percent reduction in the number of polio cases worldwide," according to Rotary International. Nehring said that although the Breakfast Rotary Club still contributes funds to the PolioPlus program, the group of local business leaders continues to raise money for Camarillo organizations. He said the club is in the third year of a fiveyear commitment to raise $75,000 to pay for the hardwood floor in the basketball gym at the Family YMCA-Hiji Center in Camarillo. About 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 32,000 clubs in 168 countries, according to the organization's website. The Breakfast Rotary Club meets 7 a.m. every Tuesday at Spanish Hills Country Club, 999 Crestview Avenue.
