Pro dog park, too

After reading another letter complaining about another dog park in my beautiful neighborhood, I am writing on behalf of the dogs that will use this park.

I am a professional dog sitter and have been a dog owner for more than 40 years. My dog is leash trained, will urinate upon my command and is not a threat to an adult or child. My dog has been neutered so does not make any attempt to reproduce in or away from the dog park.

When off leash in the dog park, "Clancey" will approach you with a big smile on his face to welcome you, then run off and greet the other dogs, smell the great smells and take a drink from the water bowl. When he does a "number two" I am there with a plastic bag in hand to pick it up and throw it in the trash can, as the bags and the can are provided for that use at the dog park.

I have been to the dog parks in Camarillo Springs and in Thousand Oaks and have not encountered a bad smell nor been attacked by a dog. What I have experienced is talking to and learning from the other dog owners and being greeted by Clancey's new friends that come up to me to say hello with their tails a-waggin'.

You don't have to love a dog, but you may learn something from him about unconditional love. Char Wall Camarillo
