District wants public's input
      While the Pleasant Valley School District is receiving applications for the interim superintendent, the Board of Trustees has asked the community to give them input for leadership qualities and values important to the area. Please e-mail responses to superintendent@pvsd.k12.ca.us.

Man arrested for allegedly stabbing his mother
      A domestic dispute last week quickly turned into a stabbing that left one Camarillo resident in critical condition and landed the other in jail. Nicholas Bridgman, 26, is in custody after allegedly stabbing his mother, Kala Bridgman, 60, several times on June 28, police said.

Camarillo youth minister arrested for alleged molestation
      Camarillo resident Mark McDowell, 46, will be arraigned in Ventura County Superior Court July 7 on charges of sexual assault and child molestation of three girls, ages 13 and 14. The alleged incidents took place between the years of 1991 and 1999.
