Pool almost ready for summer fun

COUNTDOWN FOR SPLASHDOWN- The new aquatic center in Pleasant Valley opens its doors with a grand opening from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sat., June 16 at 1030 Temple Ave. The new center offers nine different classes for everyone from parents with infants to swimmers who demonstrate advanced skill diving and strokes, turns and competitive starts. The center also includes groups and private lessons, and two camps for children: "H2O on the Go," for ages 8 to 12, and "Junior Lifeguard Camp," ages 11 to 14. Adults ages 62 and over receive a 10 percent discount on entry fees.
