Chamber will host free workshop on positive aspects of buying a home

The HomeBuyingSchool will present a workshop, "Why It Still Makes Sense to Buy versus Rent," from 6 to 7 p.m. Tues., June 19 at the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce, 2400 Ventura Blvd., in Old Town Camarillo.

The workshop is free, and advance reservations are encouraged.

The workshop will cover tax benefits, raising the FICO score, state and locally sponsored programs and down payment assistance for first-time home buyers with household income between $55,000 and $119,980, and loan options available through the state of California. This is not a sales presentation.
