City to discuss proposed sewer rate increases

The Camarillo City Council will hold a public hearing to discuss proposed sewer rate increases at 7:30 p.m. Wed., July 25 in the city hall council chambers, 601 Carmen Drive.

The city is proposing a sewer rate increase of 5 percent on Sept. 1 this year and another 5 percent on Sept. 1, 2008, to provide funds to meet increased costs.

Written comments on the proposed rate change may be submitted at the hearing or mailed by Tues., July 24 to City Clerk, 601 Carmen Drive, Camarillo, CA 93010.

Written comments should include the parcel address of commenter, whether renting or a homeowner and the words "sewer rate increase."

Parking will be available in the lots surrounding city hall, and public transportation is also available.
