Pick-your-own berries at Underwood

Residents can pick their own blueberries seven days a week from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Underwood Family Farms' Somis location, 5696 Los Angeles Ave. Picking begins Sat., May 26 and continues through mid-July.

The farm will provide 1- and 2-pound containers as well as a self-guided blueberry trail during the week and tractor rides to the fields on weekends. Parking and admission are free. Wear a hat and sunscreen. PYO price is $2.95 per pound.

Pick your own blackberries and raspberries are available at Underwood Family Farm's Moorpark site at 3370 Sunset Valley Road. The blackberries have a short season, mid-June through mid-July, and PYO price is $1.99 per pound. The raspberry crop may last into October, and PYO price is $2.99 per pound.

Admission to the Moorpark Farm Center is $3, which includes berry picking and the Animal Center. Children under 2 are free.
