Arts center announces events

The Camarillo Art Center offers exhibits and demonstrations at its gallery at 3150 Ponderosa Drive, Camarillo. Gallery hours are 1 to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. For more information, call (805) 445-7061 or visit www.camarilloartcenter.org.

Five artists from the studio of Phyllis Doyon will present an exhibit titled "Artistic Quintet" from Sat., May 19 to Sun., June 10.

The Leisure Village Painters will display their work from Sat., June 16 to Sun. July 15, with a reception on July 15. For information on this event, call Lorraine Comer at (805) 3837423.

Pong Apinyavat will give a watercolor demonstration at 7:30 p.m. Wed., June 20 at the center. Cost of the presentation is $5 for nonmembers and free to members.

Refreshments will be served after the demonstration.

The Camarillo Art Center is a nonprofit, allvolunteer organization which maintains the art gallery to provide local artists and art students a place to present their work.
