RMHS says thank you

For the 13th consecutive year, Rio Mesa High School held its Safe and Sober After Prom Party for our prom-goers and their guests. Our students were fed, entertained, hypnotized, serenaded, tattooed (temporarily), married (also temporarily), and generally shown a great time at the Edwards Camarillo Theatres on Sat., April 28 during our "Casino Royale" event. The students were "locked in" from midnight until 5 a.m., when they headed home, tired but satisfied with this milestone night.

With the incredible support of our community, we were able to give a lucky senior a fantastic cherry red Pontiac Grand Am donated by Leo Bunnin, a $2,500 cash prize donated by Steve Thomas BMW, a beautiful diamondandsapphire necklace donated by George Thompson Diamond Co., and a stunning diamond pendant necklace given to us by Lumar Jewelry, among dozens and dozens of other prizes given away throughout the evening.

The entire event is made possible by the generosity of so many. Thank you to the above businesses and to the city of Camarillo and the Meadowlarks Service League most especially, and to the hundreds of local parents, friends, and businesses who donated their time and money.

For a complete list of all our generous donors, please visit our web site at www.ouhsd.k12.ca.us/ sites/rmhs/STUDENTS/ STUDENTS.HTM.

The class of 2007 and their families thank you all. One more thank you from the entire Rio Mesa Spartan family to our remarkable community- you kept our kids safe and sober another year. Sandy Bieler Rao, Donna Bell Cochairs, RMHS Safe & Sober After Prom
