Teachers win Impact awards

Fourteen teachers from Camarillo area schools were honored for their lesson projects at the 15th annual Impact II recognition dinner held May 2 at the Courtyard Marriott in Oxnard.

Impact II is a program serving teachers in Ventura County and the local business community. The local Impact II awards are sponsored by the Ventura County Office of Education.

Teachers with individual projects earned $500 grants. Projects involving more than one teacher earned $750 grants.

Impact II award winners from Camarillo schools are:

+Michael Cogan, Phoenix School.

+Jeanette Hunting, Shannon Casanova, Christine Rudolph, Stacey Quiles, Gail Brockett and Christina Kyriacou, La Mariposa School.

+Karen Allen, Camarillo Heights School.

+Terry Arena, Camarillo High School.

+Michelle Schlatter, Camarillo Heights School, and Debbie Moore, Brookside Elementary School, Oak Park.

+Brynn Stotko, Kathleen Spane and Donna Togueri, Rancho Rosal School.

+Wendi Best, Mesa Elementary School.
