Day Camp to host open house

Gan Israel, a Jewish day camp in Camarillo, will host a community barbecue and open house from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sun., May 6 at Mission Oaks Park, 5501 Mission Oaks Blvd., Camarillo. Children registered for camp at the open house will receive a free camp T-shirt.

Activites include a Jolly Jump and petting zoo. Food will be available.

Gan Israel (the garden of Israel) is presented by Gan Camarillo Preschool and Chabad of Camarillo.

The camp will be held for four weeks, from June 25 until July 20, and will be on the grounds of Los Senderos Elementary School. The programs include Mini Gan Izzy for ages 2 and 3 and a standard program for ages 4 to 6. Sports coaches will give instruction to the children. Activities include music, drama, creative arts, cooking and woodwork.

Spaces are available for teenagers who would like to work as junior counselors.
