Former opera singer lights 100 candles

CENTENARIAN- Wilbur Jewett, center, stands with more than 20 family members, spanning five generations, who came from all over the country to throw a big party for him at Park Place Village in Camarillo on Saturday. Jewett, who was an opera singer in the 1930s and served in the Navy in World War II, turned 100 last Friday.
