Celebrating Cinco de Mayo Historic Downtown Santa Paul Merchants Association will present a variety of events to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Cruise Night will be from 5:30 p.m. to dusk tonight, Fri., May 4. Classic cars will cruise downtown Main Street. There will be music and food. The Fillmore and Western Railway will transport guests from Fillmore to Santa Paula on the Shake, Rattle and Rail train. The train will arrive in Santa Paula at 6:30 p.m. and leave at 8 p.m. Cinco de Mayo celebrations will begin at 9 a.m. Sat., May 5 with a menudo breakfast. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Merchants Association will sponsor a sidewalk sale along Main Street between 10th and 8th streets. Mariachi bands and folklorico dancers will perform. The California Oil Museum and Santa Paula Family Resource Center will host children's activities throughout the day. There will be trolley rides, and Limoniera AgriTours will offer "California Backcountry Jeep Tours." Santa Paula restaurants will participate in a Chili Verde contest, wherein the public tastes their entries and judge the contest. Fillmore and Western's Cinco de Mayo/Margarita Madness Train will arrive at 7:30 and depart at 8:30 p.m. First Sunday at the Santa Paula Airport will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sun., May 6. Vintage aircraft and memorabilia will be on display. Fillmore and Western Railway trains arrive at 1 p.m. and depart at 2.
