Learn about Saturn, Titan

The Ventura County Astronomical Society will hold its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. Fri., May 18 in the multipurpose room of Mesa Union School, 3901 Mesa School Road, Somis.

The speaker will be David F. Coppedge, a systems administrator for the Cassini Mission to Saturn and Titan at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. A member of the Cassini team since before launch in October 1997, Coppedge has been involved with the entire mission. He interacts with the planetary scientists and attends the briefings as discoveries come in. He will talk about "the greatest hits" from the interplanetary mission.
