Art center hosts events in May

The Camarillo Art Center's spring judged art show, "Spring Passion," will run through Sun., May 13. The show features the first showing of recent artworks.

Sally Miller will conduct an oil demonstration at 7:30 p.m. Wed., May 16. Miller is a member of the Buena Ventura Art Association, among other artists' groups, and is a founding member of the Gold Coast Watercolor Society.

Refreshments will be served; nonmembers are asked to donate $5.

The center's gallery will exhibit works by the students of Phyllis Doyon from May 19 through June 10. Doyon is an artist who teaches in Camarillo.

The Camarillo Art Center is at 3150 Ponderosa Drive, Camarillo. The gallery is open weekends from 1 to 4 p.m.
