Musicians invited to enter work for awards program
Submissions accepted though July

A music awards program has been created for local independent artists who live and/or perform in Ventura County.

The Music Awards for Ventura Roots and Independent Creations will be accepting submissions of nominations until Mon., July 9 for all genres of music.

Both original and cover materials are eligible. There's no age limit for submissions.

The MAVRIC awards ceremony will take place on Sun., Oct. 21 at the Oceanview Pavilion in Port Hueneme.
