Ice cream store offers a scoop for 31 cents

Local participating BaskinRobbins stores will offer a special 31 Cent Scoop Night celebration from 5 to 10 p.m. Wed., May 2.

At that time, customers can choose any flavor and pay 31 cents plus tax for a 2.5-ounce scoop of ice cream.

Along with the reduced price to consumers, Baskin-Robbins will also donate $100,000 to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, which sponsors the "Everyone Goes Home" program to help prevent firefighting line-of-duty deaths and injuries.

Participating stores include 738 Arneill Road, Camarillo; 5697 Kanan Road, Agoura Hills; 2823 Agoura Road, Westlake Village; 1404 N. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks; 2389 Michael Drive, Newbury Park; and 1720 E. Los Angeles Ave., Simi Valley.
