Tikes learn trike safety and help other children
Event will benefit Children's Research Hospital

Pleasant Valley Cooperative Preschool will sponsor a Trike-A-Thon Wed. through Fri., April 18 through 20, to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The TrikeAThon is intended to show preschoolers how to use riding toys safely and provides a parentawareness program that involves the parents in safe behavior practices.

At the end of the week, students bring their tricycle or ridingtoy to school and practice the rules they've learned.

Also, donations are turned that were collected from people sponsoring each child in the program. The child can earn prizes for participating.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. works to find cures and save children with cancer and other diseases. Families are not required to pay for medical services.

For more information, call (805) 484-0842 or visit www.stjude.org/trike.
