Forum to explore canyon initiative
Event will be televised

The Adams Canyon Measure A7 will be the subject of a free public forum hosted by the Ventura County League of Women Voters and the Ventura County Civic Alliance from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thurs., April 19 at the Santa Paula Community Center.

The forum will be televised live and then replayed over several nights on Time Warner cable channel 10 in Santa Paula only.

The forum panelists from each side will present their positions and then respond to questions submitted by the audience.

The event will be moderated by David Maron, chair of the Ventura County Civic Alliance.

Sue Kelley, the league's director of voter service, said, "The league has sponsored candidate and initiative forums in Ventura County for decades. Measure A7 is an extremely important issue to the residents of Santa Paula, and the league's goal is to empower citizens to shape better communities."

The city of Santa Paula has a website devoted to Measure A7, with the full text, ballot and rebuttal arguments and the city attorney's impartial analysis.
