Open seats on city's rent review commission

The city of Camarillo is accepting applications for volunteers to serve on the rent review commission.

The commission is responsible for assisting in the settlement of rent disputes. The commission meets annually and on an as-needed basis, generally during afternoon working hours.

The following positions are open: multifamily member (owner/alternate), multifamily member (tenant) and mobile home member (owner/alternate).

Multifamily owner/tenant members must be an owner and/or owner representative or tenant of an apartment complex in Camarillo. Mobile home owner members must be an owner and/or owner representative of a mobile home complex in Camarillo.

These positions are vacant, so the term expiration dates vary.

Commissioners must file a statement of economic interest form.

The deadline to submit applications is 5 p.m. Fri., April 20.

Applications are available at the city clerk's office and at www.ci.camarillo.ca.us.

Applicants are asked to provide a current resume along with their completed application.
