Student art
Studio Channel Islands ArCenter, in cooperation with California State University at Channel Islands, will present a studenart exhibition, "Assimilation + Annotation," April 7 through 28There will be an opening reception from 4 to 6 p.m. Sat.April 7 at the center, building No18 on Ventura Street on thCSUCI campus in Camarillo.

Students will design and instalthe exhibition in addition to exhibiting their artwork. As their seniocapstone project, a small committee of students will design the exhibition announcement card, makthe labels for each work of art and install the show in all four of the galleries at the studio. First-, second- and third-placprizes will be awarded to artistworking in painting/drawingsculpture/ceramics and digitamedia/photography.

Gallery hours are noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, or by appointment.
