Marketing executives form support network

Ventura County Marketing Professionals is a new networking and professional development group dedicated to supporting those working in the fields of marketing, public relations, and graphic design.

The group was launched earlier this month by Tea Silvestre of Social Good Marketing & Design Inc. Silvestre said she formed the group out of frustration that Ventura County lacks a local chapter of the two main national associations in her profession- The American Marketing Association and Public Relations Society of America. Both have chapters in Los Angeles. "Launching this group is way for us to gather as peers fothe purpose of advancing the standards of our profession, providing each other with professionadevelopment opportunities and assisting with information exchange forums and research projects conducted at the localevel," said Silvestre.
