Apply for scholarships

Camarillo high school seniors can apply for a $1,000 scholarship offered by The Camarillo Republican Women Federated Club. The winner of this scholarship will be announced at a luncheon Tues., April 24.

The club will also pick a preliminary winner for the Charlotte Mousel Scholarships given by the Federation of Republican Women, Southern Division. The scholarships are $1,200 for first prize and $800 for second prize.

The application requires the student's grade point average and school transcripts. The student must also complete an essay of 1,000 words or less on a specific topic.

The Camarillo Republican Women Federated will pick a local winner, a resident of Camarillo. The Southern Division will pick the final two winners, who will be honored at the Southern Division's Board of Directors luncheon meeting in June.

Applications for both scholarships are available at the three high schools attended by Camarillo residents.
