Win $150 in poster contest

First 5 Ventura County is sponsoring its second annual countywide poster contest for high school students. This year's theme is "Healthy Teeth Begin at Birth." Poster entries are due Fri., April 20.

The theme is intended to promote awareness of the need for early and routine dental care for children newborn to 5 years old, according to contest organizers. The winning poster will be distributed throughout Ventura County.

Entries will be judged based on adherence to contest theme and rules, creativity and execution. The creator of the grand prize entry will receive $150, and each grade winner (9 through 12) will receive $50. The teacher with the most student entrants will be awarded $100. The contest is open to all high school age students.
