Hundreds of Camarillo students take to CineMagic stage CineMagic, the performing arts program of the Pleasant Valley Education Foundation, will present "Encore! One More Time" Fri. and Sat., March 30 and 31 at the Pacifica High School Performing Arts Center, 600 E. Gonzales Road in Oxnard. Performances will be 7 p.m. Friday, and 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday. Ticket prices range from $5 to $25. The sixth annual production, suitable for all ages, will take a musical look at the history of radio and television. Proceeds from the performances will support the arts and technology programs in the Pleasant Valley School District. More than 200 children from the public and private schools of Camarillo are involved in the upcoming performance. Alumni students, now in high school, assist with set productions and backstage props. The middle school students help with the vocal warm-ups for the younger students and assist the Song Captains and directors. CineMagic began six years ago as a way to raise money to help the school district continue music, art and technology programs in the elementary schools. For tickets, call Tess Blankenship at (805) 3894321. For more information, visit www.pvef.org. |
