Optimists award students Three Adolfo Camarillo High School students will be honored and awarded medals for their essays at the Camarillo Noontime Optimist Club meeting Mon., March 26. This year's essay topic was "I want to make a difference because . . ." The first-place winner is Kelsey Liddle; second place, Nichole Williams; and third place, Michelle Bogen. Kelsey Liddle's essay will go to the Pacific South West District of the Optimist International for further competition. Three Optimist members will receive awards from the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce when it awards its "Top Ten" Chamber awards from 6 to 9 p.m. Fri., March 23 at Spanish Hills Country Club. Members and their awards are Larry Davis for "Man of the Year," Stan Daily for "Senior of the Year" and Maria Waggoner, "Business of the Year."
