Agromin receives award

Agromin, a Camarillobased manufacturer of premium soil products made from recycled green materials, was the recipient of the city of Ventura's 2006 Environmental Excellence Award.

The award was created in 2003 to recognize projects, programs, businesses and organizations that exemplify environmental care, concern, initiative and improvement.

Agromin specializes in processing, managing, recycling and marketing wood and green waste materials. I t mulches and composts all of the city of Ventura's green yard waste collected from residents and businesses at curbside and applies much of the resulting soil to citrus and avocado orchards owned by Limoneira Company.

Besides its work with agriculture, Agromin also produces soil products from green materials for consumer and professional landscaping use.
