Tractor assaulted at local farm

Among violations of the law recently reported to police, farm equipment was attacked, a public disagreement at a street corner erupted into an armed confrontation, and a house was pelted by eggs.

Two drivers were observed yelling at each other Feb. 16 near the corner of Daily Drive and Arneill Road. One man followed the other in his car until both cars stopped at the intersection. One of the motorists got out of his vehicle and threatened the other with a gun. The dispute apparently ended at that point.

Somebody used a firearm to shoot at a tractor parked on a farm at the corner of Wood and Pleasant Valley roads sometime over Presidents Day weekend, Feb. 16-19. The tractor sustained more than $1,200 in damage, but no one was reported injured.

Vandals tossed eggs at a house on the 600 block of Buenos Tempos Drive on Feb. 17, causing more than $300 in damage. Three days later, thieves went shopping at Albertsons supermarket at 2400 Las Posas Road, leaving with a television set instead of groceries.

A vehicle-from-vehicle theft, the appropriation of a bike from the back of a parked truck, took place Feb. 24 in the 700 block of Arneill Road.
