March Art Center events

The Camarillo Art Center will offer school exhibits and an artist demonstration in March.

The center is at 3150 Ponderosa Drive. Gallery hours are 1 to 4 p.m. on weekends. For more information on any event, call (805) 445-7061 or visit www.camarilloartcenter.org.

+A free exhibit featuring the work of local middle school students, "Rising Stars," will be presented March 3 through 11.

+"Shannon's Artists," presenting work by the students of teacher and award-winning artist Barbara Shannon, will be on display March 17 through April 1. The exhibit is free.

+Margy Gates, watercolorist, will give a demonstration at 7:30 p.m. Wed., March 21. Gates is a founding member of the California Gold Coast Watercolor Society and is active in other art associations. The demonstration is free to members and $5 for nonmembers. Refreshments will be served.
