Wants what's best for entire district

Apparently the parents at Los Senderos Open School have organized a letter writing campaign in an attempt to exempt their school from the list of schools being considered for closure.

Such actions only serve to heat up the debate and divide the community during an already difficult time. Although my child's school may be closed, I support Dr. Moffett's decision to close three schools as it is in the best interest of the district as a whole.

The way to provide the best education is to hire and keep good teachers. In order to do that, PVSD needs to raise teacher salaries. As an interim superintendent Dr. Moffett is in a unique position to make unpopular, but necessary decisions to restore the fiscal health of PVSD.

I trust that PVSD will make its decisions based on what is best for the entire district rather than being swayed by a vocal minority. Alice Blois Camarillo
