A vandal used a marker to deface a home on the 2300 block of East Las Posas Road on Feb. 10.

A thief caused $100 in damage by breaking into a car parked on the 900 block of Arneill Road sometime between Feb. 10 and 12. A $100 car stereo was stolen.

A thief broke the window of a vehicle parked on the 1000 block of Temple Avenue on Feb. 11 and stole $250 in car stereo equipment.

Someone used a counterfeit $100 bill to make a $3 purchase at a business on the 900 block of East Ventura Boulevard on Feb. 12.

Police responded to a call from a woman who reported someone peeking into her home through a back window on the 7000 block of Quito Court around 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 12.

A thief broke into In-N-Out Burger, 1316 Ventura Blvd., around 4 a.m. Feb. 12 in an attempt to steal the restaurant's ATM.

A vandal smashed the window of a truck parked on the 2800 block of Barry Street sometime between Feb. 13 and 14.

A vandal used spray paint and markers to deface a public park on the 1000 block of Temple Avenue sometime between Feb. 14 and 15.

A burglar broke into the office of Padre Serra Parish, 5205 Upland Road, and stole $26 in cash and personal checks sometime between Feb. 14 and 15.

Sometime between Feb. 9 and 14, someone stole over $2,000 in property from an apartment on the 500 block of Calle La Roda.

A suspected shoplifter was arrested on suspicion of stealing an undisclosed amount of electronics from the Target store, 209 W. Ventura Blvd., on Feb. 14.

On Feb. 19, a woman returned to her home on the 1500 block of Via Arcena to find two men inside her house. The burglary suspects ran away when the woman entered the home and escaped by running across Spanish Hills Golf Course. Police used both a helicopter and a K9 unit to track down the two suspects who are still at large. The woman was not hurt. Police said it's likely the burglars entered the home through an unlocked door at the back of the house.
