Sometime between last September and Jan. 30, someone entered a home in the 1800 block of Lakehurst Avenue and stole a fire safe from the closet in the master bedroom. Total loss was about $400.

Between November and Jan. 29, someone stole nearly $13,000 in property from a foreclosed home in the 3900 block of Vincente Avenue.

Someone tried to pry open the back door of two businesses in the 5200 block of Mission Oaks Boulevard sometime Jan. 24 or 25.

A thief stole more than $2,000 in personal property from the desks of two workers at Wellpoint, 5155 Camino Ruiz, sometime between Jan. 24 and 25.

Vandals spray painted the inside of an elevator in an office building in the 1200 block of Paseo Camarillo Drive sometime Jan. 24 or 25.

Someone stole an undisclosed amount of property from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 400 block of West Ventura Boulevard on Jan. 25.

Vandals smashed the window of a vehicle parked in the 600 block of North Las Posas Road on Jan. 25.

An employee of the Vons supermarket at 820 Arneill Road was arrested on suspicion of stealing more than $7,000 from the store's safe between last August and Jan. 28 of this year.

Sometime between Jan. 27 and 29, someone broke into Grizelda's Nursery, 4561 Donlon Road in Somis and stole less than $400 in property but caused more than $1,000 in damage to about 100 plants.

Vandals spray painted a 5 foothigh, 20-foot-wide moniker on a city-owned wall about 75 yards south of Via Jacara sometime between Jan. 29 and Jan. 31.

A suspected thief was arrested after he allegedly broke into a garage in the 4400 block of Via Marquesa on Jan. 30.

Someone stole nearly $750 in property from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 500 block of Aliento Way on Jan. 30.

During the period of time between Set. 1 and Jan. 30, a check forger wrote nine fraudulent checks for about $7,000 drawn from the account of a woman living in the 3400 block of Germain Street.

Vandals drove on the field of Pitts Park at the corner of Calle Brisas and Flynn Road sometime Jan. 30 or 31. Permanent damage was done to the grass.

Someone spray painted the main gate entrance of St. John's Seminary at 5012 Seminary Road sometime between Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.

Someone stole a wireless access card from a computer left on the desk of a Wellpoint employee at 5151 Camino Ruiz sometime Jan. 31 or Feb. 1.
