Says school board was rude, unprofessional

I am continually disappointed in Mr. Speakman's inability to allow for dissent of opinion in school board meetings, but not surprised as this has been a pattern.

I was and am surprised by Mrs. Berg's public castigation of "The 11 private Camarillo citizens," who are "responsible for the allocation of $100,000 for legal fees related to their appeal."

Not only that, but Mrs. Berg went down the list naming all 11 citizens, whose right it is to request an appeal, and in particular criticized Mrs. Val Rains. As a private citizen put in that situation, I would get a lawyer and sue the PVSD.

This was uncalled for and unprofessional. Any monies authorized by the board for any expenditure is solely the school board's responsibility and to put that off onto private citizens is inappropriate.

I hope that the school board will reevaluate how it conducts business and present itself at least with common courtesy. I will in closing say that at this point I am not including Mrs. Kitchens nor our superintendent. Martha Trulock Camarillo
