T.O. dance academy opens

Paiva Dance Academy will open Mon., Feb. 5 at 2636 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks. It will offer classes in all dance styles for children and adults.

Studio director and owner Orlando Paiva Jr. is an Argentine tango dancer and instructor. Born and raised in Rosario, Argentina, he has taught and performed in Buenos Aires, Europe and the United States. He is the founder of the Brujo Tango Congress in Reno, Nev.

Teachers at the academy are trained professionals. Classes will include tango, ballet, ballroom, hip-hop, swing and salsa.
