Some of the unusual violations of the law reported in this week's Sheriff's Blotter included the Jan. 15 destruction of 39 chairs in a Verdugo Way movie theater and the theft of a horse that same day from a stable in the 4600 block of Sand Canyon Road.

An unspecified amount of property was stolen from a sod farm at 305 W. Hueneme Road on Jan. 15 or 16.

After his arrest Jan. 23 in the 700 block of Paseo Camarillo, a suspect seated in the back seat of a Ventura County Sheriff's Department patrol car smashed the rear window with his head. Damage to the window was placed at $600. The reason for the man's arrest was not disclosed.

Two men and two women were arrested Jan. 26 after a 2 p.m. fight in the parking lot of a Camarillo bar in the 300 block of Arneill Road. A man was beaten unconscious the following afternoon by a group of assailants on the 1300 block of Del Norte Road.

Also during the past week, vandals used spray paint, eggs, rocks and a sharp tool to damage windows, walls, vehicles, schools, a market, a post office and a veterinary hospital. At El Descanso Elementary School, 1099 Bedford Drive, a trash can was set ablaze Jan. 21.
