Methodist church to broadcast Sunday service

The Camarillo United Methodist Church is broadcasting the 9 a.m. Sunday service at 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays on Time Warner Cable (Channel 25) in most of Camarillo and on Channel 12 in Leisure Village.

This marks the first time the church has aired its services on cable television.

"This gives a chance for members and persons interested in the church to sample our service from the comfort of their home," said the Rev. Jim DeckerMahin, senior pastor.

The 30minute broadcast includes the opening, special music, prayer time, scripture reading and the sermon by Decker-Mahin.

Services are broadcast 10 days after they occur.
