Doesn't it bug you when. . .?

The coffee industry puts out another study about the wonderful effects of caffeine? We all love our cup o' Joe in the morning, but it will not make you live to be 100.

Doesn't it bug you when you answer the phone and the person at the other end demands to know, "Who's this?" You want to say, "Who's this?"

. . .When your cellphone call is dropped from the wireless company that advertises the fewest dropped calls.

. . .When the cost of oil goes down and the price of gasoline goes up?

Doesn't it bug you when you ask your teenager to lend a hand and they look at you like you're Satan?

. . .When the school flier your student brings home contains multiple spelling errors?

. . .When the ATM machine quits just when it's your turn?

. . .When your car repair bill comes out to be $100 more than the estimate?

. . .When the customer in front of you argues with the cashier that he should get 50 percent off everything even though the signs clearly state that it's "50 percent off on clearance merchandise"?

Doesn't it bug you when television producers give us trash programs, and we reward them by watching?

. . .When people with obvious shortcomings appear on "American Idol," and when they get cut from the show they join the public outcry complaining they've been ridiculed and laughed at?

And this one from reader Nancy Green of Calabasas: "Doesn't it bug you when you've almost backed out of your parking space and you get cut off by another driver who's too impatient to let you proceed?"

While we're on the topic, doesn't it bug you when a speedy driver uses the freeway exit lane on the right to slip by the traffic in front of them?

. . .When a driver pulls into a handicap parking space with proper credential and pops out of their car, a sports car, in seemingly good health?

. . .When you ask how much a used car costs and the salesman says, "How much are you looking to spend?"
