Search warrant leads to multiple arrests

Late last week, police arrested four suspects on various felony charges after serving a search warrant at a Camarillo home on the 100 block of Calle De La Rosa, according to Sgt. Robert Thomas with the Camarillo Police Department.

Thomas, head of the department's special enforcement detail, said police were looking for evidence to link a 14-year-old suspect to an area gang. Investigators believe the teen was responsible for tagging gang slogans at 16 different locations throughout the city during a 45-day period.

Thomas said in a written statement that a "significant amount of gangrelated paraphernalia was found inside the residence."

The evidence, Thomas said, means the teen will face felony charges because the graffiti was allegedly committed to promote an organized street gang.

While serving the search warrant, police also arrested Randy Ceja, a 37-year-old Oxnard resident, on identify theft and drug-related charges.

In addition, police arrested David Mares and Ryan Donaldson, both 18yearold Camarillo residents, for being under the influence of a controlled substance.

All three men were in the house when the search warrant was served and have all been released from jail.

According to police, the teenage suspect is being held at Juvenile Hall.
