Braille Institute's Solutions van headed here

The Braille Institute's Mobile Solutions van will be at AlmaVia of Camarillo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thurs., Jan. 25 at 2500 Ponderosa Drive North.

Coffee and Danish pastry will be served.

Residents will learn about the institute's free programs and services, and information about new technologies and products.

There will be magnification and lighting demonstrations and one-on-one consultations with low-vision professionals. Adaptive products such as talking watches and largeprint calendars will be for sale,

Applications will be available to check out library items consisting of audio books, reading material in Braille and descriptive videos.

The Braille Institute is a private, nonprofit organization which offers educational training, programs and services to help those with impaired vision regain and maintain their independence.
