A leading expert on the Dead Sea Scrolls will give a free lecture at 4 p.m. Tues., Nov. 6 at Samuelson Chapel on the campus of California Lutheran University, 60 W. Olsen Road in Thousand Oaks. James VanderKam will speak about the Dead Sea Scrolls and early Christianity. More ... An interfaith book group for women will resume meeting from 7 to 8 p.m. Mon, Nov. 12 in Howald Parlor, Camarillo United Methodist Church, 291 Anacapa Drive. There is no charge to attend. The group will discuss the book "My Grandfather's Blessings: Stories of Strength, Refuge, and Belonging" by Dr. Rachel Naomi Remen for three consecutive Mondays. More ...
