Home sales sag, but experts predict rise in 2008
      Home sales in Ventura County continue to droop, and home prices are just beginning to sag, but exactly how long the real estate market will stagnate and how low home prices will go is still a question mark, according to speakers at last week's Ventura County Real Estate and Economic Outlook Conference at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza.

Go wild at county museum
      The Museum of Ventura County will host Museum Gone Wild at noon and 1:30 p.m. Sun., Sept. 16 at 100 E. Main St., Ventura. Animals scheduled to appear include a fennec fox, a serval wildcat, a porcupine, a kinkajou and a two-toed sloth.

      The Human Services Agency will host an Elder Health and Wellness Fest from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sat., Sept. 22 at 1001 Partridge Drive, Ventura. The festival will offer seniors information about healthcare services, health and nutrition products, exercise programs and other services designed to enhance the quality of life.

Calling on sponsors for athletic booster club
Donations are tax-deductible
      The Adolfo Camarillo High School Athletic Booster Club has announced a new fundraising opportunity for student organizations with their membership drive. Fifty percent of a membership will be credited to a specified student's school organization, club or athletic team. The tax-deductible contribution will help fund programs for the school year.
