St. Columba's plans annual pit barbecue
      St. Columba's Episcopal Church will host its 49th annual pit barbecue from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sat., Sept. 22 at 1251 Las Posas Road, Camarillo. The menu will include deep pit barbecue beef, homemade beans, bread, salsa, salad, dessert and beverage. Beer and wine will be available for an additional cost.

Program open to kindergartners
      Children in kindergarten through grade five can participate in the new Journey program from Wed., Sept. 19 through Nov. 14 at Camarillo United Methodist Church, 291 Anacapa Drive. The Journey program for youth meets at 6 p.m. for the Children's Choir, Journey Singers, and at 6:30 p.m. for other Journey participants.
