Scorpion volleyball team wins a grudge match against Rio Mesa
Camarillo boys prevail in three games
      In front of a boisterous crowd at Rio Mesa High Tuesday night, the Camarillo boys' volleyball team overcame a shaky start to defeat its crosstown rivals in three games- 26-24, 25-15 and 25-19. Junior setter Trevor Taggesell had 33 assists for the Scorpions, while junior outside hitter Chris Carlson added 16 kills and three aces.

Garrett Rau overcame issues in the classroom and now stars for Scorpion baseball team
      Baseball wasn't Garrett Rau's problem. Rau, a Camarillo High senior, has long been blessed with the ability to hit and pitch a ball, field a position and run the bases. Rau always makes sure every aspect of his game is top-notch at all times. At the onset of the school year, however, Rau wasn't paying much attention to the other facet of the student-athlete relationship.
