Conejo Players to stage auditions for musical
      The Conejo Players Theatre will have auditions for a teen production of "The World Goes Round: The Songs of Kander and Ebb" at 7:30 p.m. Sun. through Tues., April 29 to May 1 at 351 S. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks. Needed are three female and two male singers and five female and four male dancers ages 15 to 20. Singers must be able to read music; moving well is a plus.

      Camarillo Community Theatre retreads the 1941 golden oldie, "Arsenic and Old Lace" by Joseph Kesselring, a comedy that makes murder fun. The peaceful Brewster mansion in Brooklyn is home to spinster sisters Abby (Juanita Seavey) and Martha (Trish Beasley). They're loved by the community for their kind acts.

History lectures offered at AlmaVia
      Adele Wolf, education chairman for the Camarillo Historical Society, will lead a series of talks from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tues., May 29 and June 19 at AlmaVia of Camarillo, 2500 Ponderosa Drive, North. Wolf will discuss Pleasant Valley and Camarillo township and cityhood May 29, exploring the history of Camarillo and how the town got its start.

3-band concert raises revenue for recovery
      Gold Coast Christian Church will host a three-band concert from 7 to 10:30 p.m. tomorrow, Sat., April 28, at 3500 E. Camino Ave., Oxnard. Local bands- The Distance Between, Rio Bravo and the Orchid Thief- will perform a mix of acoustic guitar, heavy and soft metal, rock and alternative folk music.
