Bowling tournament to benefit Alzheimer's Association
      Bankers Life and Casualty Company will host a ForgetMeNot bowling tournament from 9 to 11 a.m. Sat., May 5 at Harley's Camarillo Bowl, 305 Arneill Road, Camarillo. Proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer's Association of Ventura County. The $20 registration fee includes bowling, shoe rental, refreshments, door prizes and drawings.

      Country singer Phil Vassar will headline the 17th annual Gold Dust Gala on Sat., May 12 at Ventura's Seaside Park The Gold Dust Gala, sponsored by the Community Memorial Healthcare Foundation, will begin at 6 p.m. with cocktails, a silent auction and western line dancing.

Hospice to host garden tour
      Camarillo Hospice's 11th annual Spring Garden Tour will be from noon to 5 p.m. Sun., May 6. The tour will feature five private home gardens in Camarillo, live music, free refreshments, a boutique and opportunity drawings. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the tour. Proceeds will fund the free services of Camarillo Hospice.
