      STRONG EFFORT- Paul Sailer of Camarillo, who underwent his second surgery for brain cancer last year, rides along Potrero Road in Thousand Oaks as he participates in the Breakaway From Cancer 25 Mile Charity Bike Ride hosted by Amgen in Thousand Oaks recently. Relief available to farmworkers
Organizations offer food, rental assistance
      Due to the recent record cold temperatures, Ventura County has suffered from record crop damage and loss. Many local farmworkers are now out of work or have reduced hours and will not obtain any work for up to six weeks or longer depending on when the next crop is available to harvest.

Free fitness program, screenings available
      A variety of programs are being offered in the area to promote National Eating Disorders Awareness week, Feb. 25 through March 3. New Beginnings Counseling Center provides a free ANAD support group which meets 7 to 8:30 p.m. every Wednesday at the center, 155 Granada St., Ste. N, Camarillo. The first meeting will be Feb. 28.

Are You Hiding?
      There appears to be a lot of hiding in relationships these days. By that I mean hiding oneself from the other while making a strong attempt to maintain the appearance of a relationship.
