Wants Oxnard to reconsider appeal
      My letter is in response to Oxnard Union's decision to appeal the decision made by the Ventura County Committee on School District Organization to let Pleasant Valley School District unify into a K12 district. It was a decision that took years to come to after extremely careful consideration and after spending $129,000 of money that could have gone to the schools instead.

Says district's programs make it special
      The interim superintendent of the Pleasant Valley School District has told members of the Board and the 7-11 Committee that any school closures should be based on facilities alone and that programs should not be a factor.

Believes Oxnard officials out of line
      I think I speak for many Camarillo citizens when I say we are sick and tired of the Oxnard Union High School District playing this game of Chicken Little with our kids. For years now we have heard the complaints about how negative the impact will be for Oxnard if the schools in Camarillo were to unify.
