A suspected shoplifter was arrested after trying to steal about $400 in merchandise from the Target store at 209 W. Ventura Blvd. on Dec. 21.

Someone stole an air compressor from Pacific Camps at 380 Mobile Ave. on Dec. 21.

A woman returned home around 4:30 a.m. on Dec. 21 to catch a burglar trying to break into her garage on the 6200 block of Armitos Drive. The burglar escaped and the woman was not injured.
