Fiber artist to show work

Karen Payton, a fiber artist who lives in Newbury Park, will display her latest work at the opening of the new Mother’s Guild Gallery, 2040 E. Main St., Ventura.

The exhibit will be from Jan. 2 to Feb. 23, and there will be an artist’s reception from noon to 4 p.m. Sat., Jan. 27.

Payton has won local awards at Studio Channel Islands Art Center and the Thousand Oaks Community Gallery.
